Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late William Robert and Effie Rosella Lollis Gambrell. He was a self employed Logger.
Surviving are: one brother, Jack Odell Gambrell of Honea Path; two sisters, Helen Sparks of Belton and Clara Vaughn of Honea Path and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, A.C. and Ray Gambrell, and three sisters, Ethel Vaughn, Mary Lou Johnston and Lola Mae Arnold.
A graveside service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, at Eastview Cemetery with Rev. James Ray Lollis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. The family is at the home. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
