Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Garvin and Blanche Elledge O’Dell. She was a homemaker dedicated to caring for her son, Bob. She was a lifelong member and servant of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where she participated in WMU and other church activities. She served as church secretary for 10 years.
Surviving are a son, Mike Madden (Lisa) of Ware Shoals and a grandson, Michael O’Dell Madden II of Ware Shoals. She was pre-deceased by a son Joe R. "Bob" Madden, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Ostrom officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the church prior to the service.
