Thomas Gilmer

Honea Path – Thomas Randolph Gilmer, 79, of 7 Hammett Street, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home.

 

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Thomas Grady and Essie Wiggins Gilmer. He was a member of Honea Path First Assembly of God and retired from Milliken.

Surviving are: his sister, Mabel Shaw of Anderson; a niece, Darlene Ballard; three nephews, Mikie Sexton, Pelham Alverson, and Dale Alverson; five great-nieces, Tammy Ballard, Lauren Addis, Bryce Alverson, Tracy Alverson Nash and Lindsey Saxon; two great-nephews, Bradley Ballard and Brooks Saxon.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Betty Alverson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andrew Overby and Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. Burial will be private.

The family is at the home of his niece, Darlene Ballard, 105 Hammett St., Honea Path, and will receive friends from 12-1 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
