He was born in Valdosta, GA, at Moody Air Force Base in 1953. He was a son of June Janelia Mayfield Rochester and the late Rev. William Fletcher Rochester. Joe will always be remembered as a hard working machinist, veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and loving father.
Surviving him is his wife, Theresa and mother, June, two sons, Joseph William Rochester, Jr. (Shannon) of Simpsonville and James Robert Rochester of the home, three daughters, Pamela Marie Rochester of Dacusville, Kimberly Dawn Odom (Tony) of Central, and Angye Stone (Todd) of Travelers Rest, two brothers, Benjamin Fletcher Rochester of Manning and Jonathan Earl Rochester of Pelzer, and six grandchildren, Hannah Marie Pittman, Emma-Grace Pitman, Callie Odom, Joshua Odom, Tessa Gillespie, and Elijah Stone. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Janet Marie Rochester.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, July 23, 2018 at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will be private.
