Ed Bratcher

Ware Shoals – Charles Edward Bratcher, 93, widower of Helen Banister Bratcher,  of  South Greenwood Ave, died at The Ashley Place in Greenwood on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Thompson and Lottie McCoy Bratcher.  He was a member of Gethsemane Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation after 44 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Teresa “Tweety” Craft  (Ray) of Honea Path and Nancy B. Ford ( Richard ) of Hilton Head Island; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a grandson, Seth Craft.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Gethsemane Church with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at Gethsemane Church prior to the service.
