Frances Hallman

Hickory Tavern – Sarah Frances Boiter Hallman, 95, widow of William Carol Hallman, formerly of Batesburg-Leesville, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at NHC in Greenwood.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Austin and Nettie Bolt Boiter. She was a former member of Rabon Creek Baptist Church, a graduate of Hickory Tavern High School, and she loved country gospel music. She enjoyed raising and selling Martin Gourds. She was retired from Riegel Textile Co. of Johnston.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Bobbie Boiter of Grovetown, GA and numerous nieces and nephews including caregivers, Jimmy and Judy Brock of Ware Shoals. She was pre-deceased by five brothers, Tommy, Jimmie, Ernest, Otis, and Murff Boiter, and three sisters, Helen Bryant, Beatrice Cox, and Neva Boiter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals with Rev. Jimmy Hogsed officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. at Parker-White Funeral Home on Tuesday prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caris Hospice, 446 East Cambridge, Greenwood SC 29646, or to Rabon Creek Baptist Church, 17045 Highway 101 South, Gray Court, SC 29645.
