Born in Greenwood County, he was the son of Jeff Matthews of Sevierville, TN and Melanie Madden Matthews of Ware Shoals. He attended Reedy Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a 2013 graduate of Ware Shoals High School where he was active in baseball and football.
Surviving besides his parents, are one sister, Taylor Nichole Matthews of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Daniel Matthews of Chattanooga, TN., Donna Kay Crosby of Sevierville, TN., paternal great grandmother Frances Crawford of Greenwood; and maternal grandmother, Carolyn Madden of Ware Shoals.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21st at Reedy Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church at 3 PM with Rev. Tommy Wooten officiating.
