Born in Great Falls, he was a son of the late Bascom and Beatrice Beckham Evans. He was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church and was retired from Perry Correctional Institute.
Surviving are two sons, Danny Evans (April) of Donalds and David Evans (Rose) of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Roxanne Peters, and Lisa Phillips (Derrick) both of Honea Path, two brothers, Heyward Evans and Tommy Evans both of Great Falls, fourteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother Charles Evans.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt.
