Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Willis Edward and Carrie Estelle Hall Burkett. He was of the Holiness faith. He was retired from the Town of Ware Shoals where he worked with the water and sewer department
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Burkett of Ware Shoals, two brothers, David Burkett of Ware Shoals, Roy Burkett(Lisa) of Waterloo, three sisters, Grace Ann Davenport of Greenwood, Sue Burkett of Ware Shoals, and Carrie Cole of Pelzer., four grandchildren, Emily Keller, DJ Keller, Jessica Durant, Deontae Durant and three great – grandchildren, Elijah, Coby and Nala. He was also survived by his eight dogs that were like his children. He was predeceased by one brother, Horace Steve Burkett
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 2 PM in the Parker White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Brown officiating
