Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Eugene and Mary Ella Gilmer Bruce. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and retired from Chiquola Manufacturing.
Surviving are: three sons, Doug (Lisa) Vaughn of Lake Wales, FL,Tony (Crystal) Vaughn of Honea Path, and Eddie Vaughn of Honea Path; a sister, Nancy Williamson of Anderson; thirteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Vaughn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Dale Vaughn and Joe Vaughn, two brothers, James Bruce and Ernest Bruce, and a sister, Sandra McGee Cogdill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, February 8, 2019 at Bethany World Outreach with Rev. Rickey Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home of her son, Tony, 100 Susan Ave., Honea Path and will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday evening at Pruitt Funeral Home.
