Faye Holley

Ware Shoals - Faye Cobb Holley, 80, wife of the late Robert Eugene “Gene” Holley, of 845 Turkey Creek Road, entered her eternal Heavenly Home on April 18, 2019.

 

Born to the late Horace and Ella Norris Cobb of Ninety Six, Faye was raised and attended school in Ninety Six.  She served as a leader at Welcome Presbyterian Church in Ware Shoals for many years.  She began her career at Eswel Sports Wear where she met her beloved husband, Gene.  She then devoted her career to Human Resources at Riegel Textiles, Self-Regional Hospital, and Laurens County Hospital. 

Faye is remembered as a devoted Christian, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a well-respected member of our community.  She loved the Lord, followed His Word, and lived her life to serve and honor Him. 

Surviving are a son, Robert E. Holley, Jr. “Robbie” (Pam), daughter Julie McGee (PeeWee), grandchildren Robyn Crawford (Lee), Carla Holley (Graham Owens), Luke Holley, Nicholas McGee (Sara), and Hunter McGee, great-grandchildren Brennan and Carson Goode, and Bryant and Josiah Crawford, a brother Butch Cobb (Judy), a sister-in-law Connie Hayden (Jim) and a dear friend, Donald Leopard.

Mrs. Holley is predeceased by a daughter-in-law Anne Jones Holley, and siblings Heyward “Wormy” Cobb, Myrna Maffett, and Luanne Meredith.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, April 22, 2019, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Wicker and Rev. Greg Nix officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
