Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of Marilyn Pagel Johnson and the late Dr. Paul Robert Johnson, Sr. He was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his loving and faithful wife of 35 years of the home and his mother of Ware Shoals are: his son, David Alan (Reanna) Johnson, Jr., of Ninety Six; two daughters, Jennifer Michelle (Christopher) Worley of Greenville and Heather Nichole Edge of Ware Shoals; his brother, Dr. Paul Robert (Carolyn) Johnson, Jr. of Seneca, his sister, Rita (Mitchell) Ross of Ware Shoals; and seven grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Katelynn Johnson, Gaara Worley, Jase Worley, Acheron Worley, William Edge and Hope Edge. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Mia Edge and Elizabeth Edge and a brother, Roger Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Wood and Rev. Mike Clary officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of his mother, 28 Edgewood Drive, Ware Shoals, and will receive friends from 11-12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
