Frank Childress

Ware Shoals – Frank Earl Childress, 76, husband of Patricia “Pat” Jane Alford Childress, of Maddox Bridge Road, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

 

Born in Greenwood County, he was the son of the late Frank Arthur and Annie Eleanor Knight Childress. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and retired from Fluor-Daniel.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home are: two sons, Billy (Sandy) Childress and Brad (Tara) Childress, both of Ware Shoals; his daughter, Tina Lovingood of Wilmington, NC; a step-son, Michael Alford of Ware Shoals; a step-daughter, Wanda (Sherwin) Bull of Taylors; a sister, Janice (Doyle) Webb of Ware Shoals; nine grandchildren, Seth Childress, Savannah Childress, Cassidy Childress, Kayla Williamson, Chris Alford, Larry Scott Childress, Jesse Bull, Levi Bull and Cody Bull; and two great-grandchildren, Maylee Alford and Lyla Alford.

Frank is preceded in death by a sister, Gail Barton.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.
