Robert “Tops” Hill

Ware Shoals – Robert Dean “Tops” Hill, 79, widower of Brenda Gail Manley Hill, of Weathers Road, died Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at his home.

 

Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Dan Hill and Alma Howington Hill Griffin. He was a faithful member of Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy and retired from Cooper Power Systems. Mr. Hill loved attending auctions. He loved his family and the Lord unconditionally.

Surviving are: three sons, Ricky (Denise) Hill, and Danny Hill, both of Ware Shoals, and Doug (Beebe) Hill of Greenwood; a brother, Dale (Susan) Hill of Ninety Six; a sister, Eula Mae Kennedy of Donalds; nine grandchildren: Cassie (Brad) Dixon, Stevie Hill, Valerie Davis, Alesia (Barry) Vandiver, Andrea (Frank) Cabe, Nikki Hill, Keith (Rachel) Hill, Jr.,  Matthew Wilson, and Ainsley Hill; and ten great-grandchildren: Sarahbeth Davis, Maily Ngo, Jaedan Marshall, Jaela Marshall, Abby Cabe, Mya Dixon, Nora Dixon, Delaney Hill, Vivian Hill, and Emily Vandiver.

Mr. Hill is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Tobe Hill and a sister, Kate Hudson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Susan Allen, Rev. Dwayne Willis and Rev. Mark Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of a son, Ricky, 934 Turkey Creek Rd, Ware Shoals, and will receive friends from 11-1 P.M. Friday at the church prior to the service.
