Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Vernon Bailey and Lilly Bell Branyon Smith. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was retried from Aldrich Corp. of Greenwood. He was a member ob Bascombe Masonic Lodge # 363 A.F.M. and was a charter member of the Hodges-Cokesbury Fire Department.
Surviving are a sister, Gayle Allen (Marvin) of Hodges and her two sons, Darrin Davis (Beth) of Greenwood and Ty Davis of Hodges, and a great-nephew, Bailey Davis. Darrin was Stanley’s devoted caregiver during the last several years. He was pre-deceased by a brother Bailey Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremiah Henderson and Rev. Rick Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
