Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Davis and the late Lovice McKee Davis Ellison. She was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church. She was a former member of the O.E.S. Honea Path Chapter #159. A graduate of Hannah High School, she was the former owner of Millie’s Dress Shop of Honea Path and the Wisteria Gift Shop of Greenwood, and retired as Broker and Co-Owner of Burton Real Estate of Greenwood.

Surviving are two sons, Steven Burton (Cindy) of Abbeville and Keith Burton (Tammy) of Honea Path, a brother, G.T Davis of Santee, three sisters, Sherry Davis of McCormick, Luvenia Dorn of Troy, and Juanita Hayes of Riceville, TN, sister-in-law, Diane Davis of Troy, and seven grandchildren, Gray Turner (Tori), Cody Burton, Dylan Burton, Braeden Burton, Niles Williams (Cheri), Austen Burton, and Jodi Burton, and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Edward Davis and two sisters, Joyce Emily Davis and Doris Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Rev. Shane Elrod officiating. Burial will follow in the Burton Family Cemetery.
