Born in Fort Ord, California, she was a daughter of the William Marvin Grant, Jr. and the late Jeannie Faye Grant. She was of the Episcopal Faith, a graduate of Erskine College, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter #6.
Surviving are her father of Greenville, her husband of Laurens, and a sister Mary Alice Grant of Sapphire, NC. In addition to her mother she was predeceased by a brother, Nelson and a sister, Kirsten Grant Allison.
