Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Andy M. and Martha Howard Hodges. He was a member of the Ware Shoals United Methodist Church, a graduate of Ware Shoals High School, and had formerly been employed by Ware Shoals Plastics.
Surviving are two daughters, Erin Loudermilk (Travis) and Lauren Hodges, both of Ware Shoals, a sister, Hope Hodges Winkler (Ed) of Greenville, and five grandchildren.
