Frankie Rogers

Ware Shoals – Benjamin Franklin “Frankie” Rogers, Jr., 73, husband of Debra Brocklehurst Rogers, of Smith Street Extension, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his home.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Rogers Sr., and the late Clare Lucille Pace Pitts. He was a member of Hodges Church of God and was a self-employed plumber and blacksmith. Frankie was all about being there for and helping the kids. Many local kids looked up to Frankie as a father figure and a “grandpa”.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 35 years of  the home are: two sons, Kass William Rogers of the home and Rodney Lee (Angie) Rogers, Sr. of Hodges; three daughters, Jenny (Buddy) Pittman of Ware Shoals, Tracy Wood (Clint) of Greenwood, and Heather Wrenn of Ware Shoals; a brother, Floyd (Sheryl) Rogers of Statesburg GA; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Rodney, Katie, Summer, Erica, Maddie, Paige, Austin, Leeanna, Brooke, and “special grandchild” Alyssa Calvert; and two great-grandchildren, Nolan Ray and Brody.

Frankie is preceded in death by two sons, Scott Dwayne Rogers and Lee Wood, a brother, Billy Ray Rogers and his sister, Betty Rogers Ashley, and a grandchild, Justin.

Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, December 13, 2019 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Caldwell and Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave, Greenwood, SC 29646.
