Born in Evanston, IL, he was the son of Lank Hamilton, Sr. of Evanston, IL and the late Pearl Tate Hamilton. He was formerly employed at BMW.
Surviving are four sons: Kevin Hamilton, Jr of Honea Path, Hakeem Damon Hamilton of Greer, Rakim Omar Hamilton of Belton, Tevin Kiree Hamilton of Abbeville; a step-daughter: Sharika Lashay Jackson of Honea Path, two brothers, Lank Hamilton Jr. of Glendale Heights, IL, Quintin Hamilton of Evanston, IL, three sisters, Doris Rye of Chicago, IL, Kim Hamilton of Waukegan, IL, and Jacinta Hamilton of Palatine, IL and six grandchildren.
