Born in Anderson county, he was a son of the late Ray and Mamie Doris Powell Fisher. He was a member of Donalds Church of God and was a retired truck driver.
Surviving are his wife of the home, three sons, James Fisher of Iva, Darron Fisher of Honea Path, and Russell Fisher of Honea Path, a grandson raised in the home, Dawson Fisher of the home, a brother, Ray Fisher of Iva, two sisters, Dot Oulla of Ware Shoals and Sadie McGaha of Honea Path, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, O. B. Fisher, four sisters, Martha Hamby, Christine McGinnis, Ann McDonald, and Nana Maude, and a grandson Braxton Fisher.
Private family services will be held.
