Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Ralph Houston and Nellie Haygood Tutton. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter Vanessa Nicole Tutton and grandson, Jackson Eugene Atkins Tutton, both of the home, sons, Kenny Tutton (Linda) of Hodges, Randy Tutton of Greenville, daughters, Kathy Dyal of Ware Shoals and Tammy Kirk of Easley, grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher, Mary Beth, Gena, Ashley, Alyssa, and Rickey, great-grandchildren, Carter, Claire, Julian, and Joslyn, and beloved nieces and nephews, Kevin, Thomas, Scott, Kevin, Hannah, Cheryl, and Sherri.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Danny Tutton, a brother, Thomas Lee Tutton, and a sister, Barbara Tutton Payne.
