Mr. Barfield was the widower of Sylvia Barfield of Summerville, SC. He died Monday, April 6 at Trident Regional Hospital in North Charleston.
Surviving are three sons, Rushton Cleveland Barfield, Jr. and wife Amanda of Honea Path, Dewey Charles Barfield and wife Jessica of Searsmont, ME, and Brian Keith Barfield of Morrill, ME, a sister, Joyner Carn of North Charleston, SC, and two grandchildren, Lily Barfield and Trey Barfield and several special nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by three sisters, Nancy Warren, Betty Koester, and Henrietta Guyton.
In Lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Tri-County COVID-19 Response Fund or to Agape Hospice.
