Etrulia Lawton Counts

Ware Shoals – Etrulia Lawton Bratcher Counts, 99, widow of Earl Counts, formerly of Ware Shoals, died at Golden Age Nursing Home in Inman, SC, on Friday, August 7, 2020.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late John Bruce and Hillian Ramsey Lawton. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was twice married, first to the late Willis Bratcher.

She is survived by a brother, Gordon Lawton of Naples, FL and a sister, Johnnye King of Belton, two grandchildren, Jerry Richardson of Boiling Springs and Jackie Guxton of Spartanburg, four great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was pre deceased by a daughter, Joann Richardson, brothers, Wade Lawton, Franklin Lawton, Dub Lawton, and sisters, Mary Stowers, Ione Cook, and Essie Madden.

Private Graveside services were held on Wednesday, August 12 at the Garden of Memories, Belton, with Rev. Bill Rogers officiating.
