Born in Laurens County she was a daughter of the late Bill and Maggie Tucker Douglas. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Laurens and was a homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are two sons, Willie Thomas Davenport (Harriett) of Greenwood, and Arthur Leroy Davenport, Jr (Jennifer Patterson) of Ware Shoals, three daughters, Mary Hovis (Dale Bradford) of Ware Shoals, Sarah Greene (Robbie) of Newberry, and Barbara Bunch (Tim) of Easley, a brother, John Earl Douglas of Donalds, thirteen Grandchildren, and three Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Loucindy and Tammy Davenport, and two sisters, Kathy Ricks and Gloria Ricks, and a Great Granddaughter, Stephanie Winchester.
Funeral services with limited seating will be held at 1 PM Thursday, September 10, 2020 with Rev. Raymond Stonell officiating. Social Distancing and Mask are required.Burial will follow in Laurens City Cemetery.
