Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Mary Hall Kennedy and the late Raymond Roy Kennedy. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was formerly employed at the J.P. Stevens Watts Mill Plant.
Surviving are her Mother of Greenwood, a son William Newman (Holly) of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Jeannie Jones of Ware Shoals and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Tony Ray Kennedy and a sister Rose Kennedy Crawford.
