Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Carlton and Lucille Clamp Mattison. She was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church where she worked with the seniors for many years and enjoyed every minute of it. She was retired from Community Long Term Care.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be remembered for her devotion to her family. A cherished friend, she will be remembered for her loyalty and kindness. A committed Christian, she will be remembered for her service to God and others.

Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 60 years of the home are: two sisters, Phillis Fields of Belton and Judy (Buddy) Whitten of Anderson; her son-in-law, Eddie Cannon of Starr; two grandchildren, Misti (Josh) Stevenson and Marie Gray; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Gray and Kali Stevenson.

Mrs. McGee is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Connie Cannon; a grandson, Brandon McGee; three brothers, Malcolm, Ray and Gerald Mattison; and a sister, Pat Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Barkers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Taylor and Rev. Broadus Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. Tuesday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Pruitt Health Hospice, 1510 N.
