Born in Madison County, NC, she was a daughter of Edith Marie Gregg James and the late Jerry Blaine Suttles. She was a member of Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 18 years of the home and her mother of the home are: three daughters, Kristin Moffitt of Honea Path, Bethany Moffitt of TN and Melissa Snelson of Newport, TN, a step-son, Russell Mars of Columbia; two step-daughters, Lee Ann Russell of Columbia and Nita Mars (Alex) Rabon of Hopkins, SC; two grandchildren, Abish Mars and Seth Moffitt; three great-grandchilden, Bentley Moffitt, Braydon Barnwell, and Bryson Barnwell; and special niece, Karin Repass of Greenville.
Mrs. Mars was preceded in death by her father, her sister, Judy Parker, and a grandchild, Trinity Smith.
Memorial services with limited capacity will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Shane Elrod officiating. Social distancing and face masks are required.
