Sheila Brissey

Sheila Ann Edens Brissey, 71, wife of Jerry Lamar Brissey of Ware Shoals, died Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Edward Edens and Sarah Vivian Roberts. She was pastor of Wilderness Holiness Church.

In addition to her husband of the home, Mrs. Brissey is survived by two sons: Joey Alan Brissey and wife Sharon Marie, and Sammy L. Brissey and wife Pamela Michelle; two brothers: Timmy Barton and Bobby Spearman; four sisters: Starr Posey, Marie Burns, Janie Howard and Frankie Bramlett; six grandchildren: Amber Brissey, Brooke Davies, Nathanael Brissey, Tabitha Brissey, Samuel Caleb Brissey and Chris Smith; four step-grandchildren: Wyatt Wrenn, Ivan Ryan Wrenn, Zoe Faith Wrenn and Parker Yates Wrenn; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son: Jerry Lamar Brissey, Jr.; and one brother: Alvin Edwards “Sonny” Edens.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24 at Wilderness Holiness Church with Rev. Robbie Brissey and Rev. Larry McCall officiating. Burial will follow in the Brissey Family Cemetery. The family requests that guests please bring and use masks for both the visitation and the funeral service.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 2 – 6 PM Friday, October 23 at Pruitt Funeral Home.
