Laura Brown Osborne

Ware Shoals – Laura Brown Osborne, 77, wife of Robert A. “Bobby” Osborne died Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.

Born in Donalds, she was a daughter of the late Fulton and Ellen Walker Brown. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where she had taught the children’s Sunday School Class for 20 years.  She had worked for Riegel Textile Co. until its closing and later retired from Tender Loving Daycare of Ware Shoals.

Surviving are her husband of the home, a daughter, Julie Alverson (Dale) of Ware Shoals, five sisters, Mrs. Elaine O’Dell (Dan) of Hodges, Mrs. Darrell (Ruby) Warren of Ware Shoals,  Mrs. Larry (Lorraine) Cheshire of Ware Shoals, Maxine Brown of Saluda, and Mrs. Tony (Denise) Moody of Ware Shoals, and two granddaughters, Bryce Jefferies (Brett) and Lauren Addis (Will) and two great grandchildren, Anna Mills and Claire Addis.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Jerry Brown and Sonny Brown, and two sisters, Mary Frances Sheppard and Glendel Ashley.

Funeral services with limited seating will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals, with Rev. Greg Nix and Rev. Robert Emory officiating. Social distancing and mask are required. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM on Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
