Born in Oshkosh, WI, he was a son of the late Allen and Olga Eisner Doan. He attended Zion Assembly of God and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Walmart.
Surviving are his wife of the home, two sons, Terry Doan and Tony Doan, both of Eau Claire, WI, three daughters, Tina Urness (Steven) of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Tammi Schlisner of Menomonie, WI, and Tracy Doan of Princeton, MN, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was pre deceased by four sisters, Betty Miller, Arlene Fuchs, Shirley Eason, and Lula Dunham.
