Born in Anderson, he was a son of Steven Dale Sweat and Mary Epps Arflin. He was owner and operator of Affordable Tire and Automotive of Princeton.
Surviving are his wife of the home, his father, Steven Dale Sweat of Ware Shoals, his mother, Mary Epps Arflin (Ronnie) of Belton, four daughters, Victoria Kay Sweat, Katelyn Veronica Sweat, and Valarie Drew Sweat, and Sue Nabors, a brother, Steven Rowe Sweat of Easley, a half-sister, Shannon Jordan (Keith) of Belton, a special aunt, Cathy Pace, and special cousins, Michael Haug and Kevin Pace..
