Born in Laurens, SC, he was a son of the late James Brewington and the late Irene Lawson Easley. He was a member of Bethany World Outreach and retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Brewington (Ophelia) of Pendleton and Terry Brewington of Honea Path, two daughters, Snooky Campbell (Bob) and Kathey Brewington, both of Honea Path, fourteen grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two daughters, Phillis Ragsdale and Jennie Robinson, two brothers, Ellis Brewington and J.M. Brewington, three sisters, Hazel Whitt, Inez Crawford, and Shirley Griffin, and two grandchildren, John David Riley, Jr. and Hannah Brewington.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Knight officiating. Masks and social distancing are recommended. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
