Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Inez Patterson Burton. She was a member of Little River Baptist Church and was a graduate of Carolina School of Commerce. She was a retired bookkeeper for Callaham Oil Company of Anderson.
Surviving are a daughter, Gina Dieterich (Charles) of Greenville and two step-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents she was predeceased by a brother Edwin Burton and two sisters, Helen Martin and Jean Murdock.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Garrett Hart and Rev. Steve Patterson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM on Friday prior to the service in the church social hall.
