Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was a son of the late Thomas B. and Ruby Stone Angell. He was twice married, first to the late Betty Angell. He was of the Congregational faith and was retired from his work for General Electric and Honeywell as an engineer.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 33 years are two daughters: Jeanette Angell of Massachusetts and Doni Benton of Colorado.
Mr. Angell was preceded in death by his brother Robert and his sister Dorothy.
