Born in Madison, SC, he was a son of the late Coke and Mary Lathan Spencer. He was a mechanic and a farmer, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. Spencer is survived by one son: Anthony Spencer of Honea Path; one daughter: Beverly Adams (Eddie) of Piedmont; one brother: Hoke Spencer of Seneca; and three sisters: Muriel Spencer Robinson of Beuford, GA, Stella Mooney of Toccoa, GA, and Annie Ruth Spence of Myrtle Beach. He was “Papa” to Logan Gentry.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: John Robert Spencer, Bobby Spencer, Odis Spencer, and Jack Spencer.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Monday May 31, 2021 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Cooley officiating.
