Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Isabelle Frances Vaughn Turpin.
Surviving are three daughters, Christie Ellison (John Michael) of Honea Path, Whitney Capps (Dustin) of Belton, and Amanda Capps (Stevie) of Belton, two brothers, James Turpin of Belton and Tommy Turpin of Bakersfield, CA, a sister, Sylvia Turpin Fields of Anderson, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and a brother Roger Turpin.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1325 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
