Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late John Radford Smith and Nellie Gilmer Smith. He was a member of the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co. and was a 30 year member of the Honea Path Rescue Squad where he was active in the Search and Dive Teams.
Surviving are his sister, Robin Smith of Honea Path, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Nancy Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Shane Elrod officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends after the service at the church.
