Born in Greer, she was a daughter of the late Paul Vernon and Maybelle Davidson Martin. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church where she was active in the WMU and retired from Torrington. Mrs. Etters was proud to have been known as the first “Miss Springmaid”, the innovative advertising campaign for Spring Industries, starting in the 1940’s. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are: her daughter, Cindy (Steve) Gambrell of Honea Path; her sister, Mary Embler of Anderson; two grandchildren, Blake (Brittany) Gambrell and Ross (Hannah) Gambrell; and four great-grandchildren, Audry Gambrell, Raelyn Gambrell, Bailey Gambrell, and Stella Gambrell.
Mrs. Etters was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Clyde Martin and Paul Martin, and a great-grandchild, Brody Steven Gambrell.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating.
