Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Andrew McGaha and Lena Coker McGaha Stone. He was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church. He was retired from his work as a mechanic for Michelin, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He was married for 58 years to his childhood sweetheart, Connie.

In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. McGaha is survived by his son Jeffrey Robert McGaha (Ami) of Honea Path; two daughters: Sheri McGaha Smalley of Donalds and Susan McGaha Babb (Brannon) of Honea Path; a sister Dianne Kay of Belton; and nine grandchildren: Brandon Smalley, Andrew Smalley, Chandler Smalley, Davis Smalley, Lane McGaha, Kennedy McGaha, McKenzie Babb, Luke Babb, and Tyler Babb.

He was preceded in death by his brother Charles Luther McGaha.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, October 27 at Chiquola Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.
