Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Oscar and Ella Kay Rowland. He was formerly married to the late Ruth Hughes Rowland. He was of the Baptist Faith and was retired mechanic from Fluor Daniel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War, and was a Master Mason.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ruth Branyon of Honea Path and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Max and Troy Rowland, and three sisters, Annie Jones, Carrie White, and Malvenia Land.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Belton City Cemetery with Rev. Billy Slatten officiating.
