Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late George Thomas “Jack” and Ella Ruby Ables Lowe. He was a member of Keowee Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, sunday school teacher, member of the choir, praise team, and quartet. He was retired from his work at Solutia, and was a founding member of the Keowee Volunteer Fire Department.
Jackie is survived by his son Jarrid Travis Lowe and wife Tracey of Honea Path, his brother Rev. Tommy Lowe and wife Gail of Laurens, and two grandsons: Travis McCall Lowe and fiancée Rachel Eades and Trenton Eli Lowe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 3 at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Brooks and Rev. Tony Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
