Mike “Wobble” Pilgrim

Ware Shoals – Michael Wallace “Wobble” Pilgrim, 65, of East Fleming Street, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his friends and family.

Born in Greenwood County, he was the son of the late Wallace Hampton and Nell Venia Holley Pilgrim. He was retired from Fuji Photo Film.

Mike would always be the first to offer a level of optimism, that was honest and heartfelt, that spilled over to everyone he came in contact with. He was blessed by the good Lord with a set of gifted hands. This was shown throughout his work career as he did contract work in the mechanical field for Walt Disney World, R. J. Reynolds Tobacco, Louis Rich, Monsanto, Fuji, and several other major corporations. In his spare time, he enjoyed researching local, as well as Indian history such as artifacts and old maps from the 1700’s. This stemmed from his days in the Boy Scouts with Scout Master C.W. McClellan. Wobble will be missed more than words can say.

Surviving are: his son, Scott (Heather) Pilgrim of Ware Shoals; three daughters, Tiffany (Dennis) Schaffer of Rogers, AR, Nicole (Chris) Cochran of Greenwood, and April (Richard) Taylor of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Linda Davis of Ware Shoals, and Patti (Pat) McGehee of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Abby Pilgrim, Kade Pilgrim, Scarlett Schaffer, Lonnie Taylor, and Samantha Cochran; and his faithful and much loved companions, Rudy I and Rudy II.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy Weathers; two brothers-in-law, Frank “Beef” Weathers and Wayne Davis: and his beloved Dixie.
