Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Price and Odie Mae King. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church in Pendleton, SC, and was retired from her work in the lunchroom for the Stone Mountain School System.
In addition to her husband of the home, Mrs. Owens is survived by two sons: Michael Browder of Conyers, GA and Allen Owens (Stephanie) of Anderson; two daughters: Donna Grace (Dan) of Cumming, GA and Pam Partridge of Anderson; several brothers and sisters, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 7 at the Garden of Memories, with Mr. Shaun Browder officiating.
The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson SC 29621. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com.
