Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Mollie Weathers Davenport. She was of the Holiness Faith.
Surviving are a son, Ricky Stamey of Greenwood, and, a step-daughter, Mary Michelle Minor, and five grandchildren, Cory, Zach, Adam, Tyler, and Josh, and nine great-grandchildren Michael, Ryan, Megan, Carlee, Gracie, Jordan, Camden, Ansleigh, and Remi.
She was predeceased by her parents a daughter, Jennifer Leigh Stamey Malone, a step-son, Roger Minor, Jr., and two sisters, Jessie Mae Willard and Edna Lollis.
A joint memorial service will be held for Betty and her daughter, Jennifer, in the upcoming months.
