Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Moses and Blanche Poole Cooley. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ware Shoals and was a retired paint contractor. He and his late wife Pauline were married 66 years.
Surviving are: his son, Tony Cooley of Honea Path; two daughters, Vicki (Jay) Lown of Due West and Krista Brock of Honea Path; a sister, Violet C. Davis of Ware Shoals; two sisters –in-law, Helen (Ralph) Smith of Ware Shoals and Faye Cooley of Laurens; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and three more on the way.
Mr. Cooley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Ronnie Cooley and Billy Cooley; a sister, Joyce C. Spearman; and two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Kassidy.
Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church with Mr. Jonathan Atkins officiating.
