Born in Hodges, she was a daughter of the late Claude Forrest and Ruth Beatrice Jester Vermillion. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and was retired from her work in textiles.
Surviving are one brother, Robert Vermillion, one grandson, David (Lida) Johnson of Donalds; two great grandchildren, Cadience Vallery Johnson and Nancy Jean Johnson, and a son-in-law, Emmanuel Johnson;
She was preceded in death by her daughter Betty Elaine Johnson, a brother, James "Jimmy" Vermillion, one sister, Frances Estelle Ambrose and one grandchild, Christopher Bradley Johnson.
Graveside services will be held at 3 P. M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Mr. Ron Craft officiating.
