Gladys Lee Smith Hall

Belton – Gladys Lee Smith Hall, 93, widow of Rufus Sanford Hall, formerly of Briarwood Drive, Belton and The Maples, Honea Path, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

 

Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Casper Rei and Nora Ellison Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Belton for over 50 years. She graduated from Erskine College and North Greenville University and did graduate studies at Clemson University. Mrs. Hall retired from Anderson School District Two, having taught 2nd grade at Marshall Primary School and Wright Elementary School for 33 years.

Surviving are: her son, William (Vicki) Hall of Honea Path; her daughter, Karen (Mark) Eidson of Honea Path; a brother, Rev. Dr. Ellison Leon (Martha) Smith of Holly Springs NC; a sister, Ethel Caldwell of Belton; and three grandchildren, Daniel Eidson of Belton, and Shaun Eidson and Lauren Eidson, both of Emerson GA.

Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Rev. Casper Rei Smith, Jr.; and a sister, Helen Smith Johns.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Maples and Staff for the exceptional love and care shown to Mrs. Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, June 10, 2022 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path, SC, with Rev. Dr. Ellison Leon Smith officiating.
