Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Nobie Williamson Gambrell. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church, and was retired from her work as a dietician for Anderson School District #2.
Mrs. Hanks is survived by her son Ronnie Hanks and wife Cathy, and her grandson Nicolas James Hanks and wife Lauriana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Hanks and her grandson Evan Bruce Hanks.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 27 at the Garden of Memories, with Ronnie and Nicolas Hanks officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
