Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Luther Jr., and Ethel Lawton Higginbotham. She retired from Chiquola Manufacturing.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 54 years of the home are: her son, Terry (Lisa) Strickland of Honea Path; two daughters, Pamela (William) Pruitt and Victoria (Jaris) McGee, both of Honea Path; a brother, Ricky Higginbotham of Honea Path; two sisters, Patsy (Clyde) Carnahan of Anderson and Elaine Brown of Clarksville TN; seven grandchildren, Monica, Taylor, Gabby, Millyn, Hunter, Kyra, and Kenzlee; and four great-grandchildren, Autumnn, Coleson, River, and Weston.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by: her parents, and two brothers, Dennis Higginbotham and Luther Higginbotham.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Pamela, 601 Holiday Dam Rd, Honea Path, and will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
